Our stay was excellent I would highly recommend. 1 The rooms was very clean, and comfortable. 2 The host was so lovely she was smiley easy to talk to so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble, all the little extras made a big difference my favourite was homemade cakes when you came back from your day out 3 The hotel was so close to all amenities. Definitely would go again.
Had a lovely two nights stay here last week. Room might seem small to some people but it. Was comfortable, clean, nice easy to work shower. Bonus for me was windows that open. Beds and pillows very comfortable. I even slept well the first night which I don't often do in a strange bed. The 3* location was only because it's up a Hill and we were on the top floor too! But lovely house and hosts.
Excellent location and service. We had two rooms, one on the top floor Which had a small bathroom but nice hot shower. The other room had a nice big bathroom. Both had comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious and the host was friendly and knowledgeable about the various hikes available to do in the area
Dawn was very welcoming and room was ready on our arrival. Room clean and enough storage , bathroom plenty big enough. Beds comfortable with plenty of pillows. A great location with car park opposite , would definitely stay there again.
We were greeted by Dawn, who is a really lovely and welcoming host. The room was spacious enough and very comfortable. The location is also great — close to Sainsbury’s and the train station. We had a lovely night there, thanks to Dawn! Highly recommended
lovely cosy and clean room, the host was very friendly and helpful with any adjustments. It’s is a great location, about 2 minutes from town centre, 20 minute walk from the lake.
Just enjoyed a two night stay here and can’t praise it highly enough. It’s a ‘traditional guest house’ which is absolutely immaculately kept by the host Dawn. She greeted us when we arrived a with a friendly smile and nothing was too much trouble, including supplying us with bin liners for our wet gear after a particularly challenging days walking on the fells. The room was very well maintained and spotless, but the best bit of the stay was the fantastic breakfast which set us up for the entire day. If you are looking for somewhere well-located and friendly then look no more.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay! The owners are fantastic and go above and beyond for visitors. The room was so clean and warm, it was a much appreciated sight after a cold day. The bed was very comfortable and was perfect to get cuddled up. Everyday there was fresh cake available and the fresh cooked breakfast was the perfect start to the day. We can't wait to stay again and are already planning our trip for summer!
